"The Question" 1986-10-09
- Date Issued:
- 1968-10-09
- Summary:
- Don Hulick interviewed IRJC students about their opinions on the military draft system and asked them for their ideas about changes that could be made to the system. There were a variety of ideas proposed by the interviewees. The military draft was a point of tension and unrest in the United States during the 1960’s mostly because men were being drafted to fight in the Vietnam War which especially by the late 1960’s was unpopular among the American people. The United States drafted military age men between 1964 and 1973. The draft itself contributed to the unpopularity of the war. Summary written by Rebecca Sills, in Dr. Carrigan's AMH 2020 H2SL (Honors/Service Learning).
