Abstract/Description
The purpose of the study was to determine the effects of spray irrigation of waste-treatment plant effluent on the quality of ground water at and near a test site in northwest Pinellas County, Florida. During 1971-1975, a network of wells was monitored for changes in water levels and water quality. This report includes monitoring and test drilling results and an evaluation of observed changes.

Results from the field investigation and numerical simulation to determine aquifer characteristics at the Walsingham Park test site could provide valuable information for future development of brackish water in Pinellas County and in other coastal counties in west-central Florida. The report includes descriptions of the hydrogeologic framework of the study site; hydraulic characteristics of the aquifer system; and description of the ground-water quality. The objectives of this report are to describe the hydrogeology at the test site, and evaluate an aquifer test conducted in the Upper Floridan aquifer at the test site.
