Abstract/Description: A Biological sampling program in the lower Caloosahatchee River and estuary was conducted during the years 1957 through 1960. It studied the effects of Lake Okeechobee discharge and local runoff through the Caloosahatchee River on the fishes and animals of the estuary. This report presents biological and ecological data from the study. It is similar to a report published in 1962, under the title: Biological Investigations of Caloosahatchee Estuary in Connection with Lake Okeechobee Discharges Through Caloosahatchee River. However, this report includes many details not included in the 1962 report.
