Summary:
This report is a summary of the results from a Florida Sea Grant sponsored research project to assess the distribution and impact of the marine borer, Sphaeroma terebrans on wooden structures in Florida waters. Data collection and analysis were conducted over a 30 month period beginning in July 1985 with site visits to all coastal areas of Florida except the Florida Keys. In the process of collecting data on S. terebrans, significant information was also collected on other marine wood borers throughout the state. This information is included in the report.
