A fishhouse operator in Tarpon Bay on Sanibel scrapes mullet and ice down a chute into the fish runboat alongside, for shipment by runboat to Punta Gorda and then by rail to destinations north. The runboat brought ice and picked up fish catches on a schedule to a string of fishhouses that extended into the Ten Thousand Islands.
