Summary: | Esperanza Woodring and Tom Wood, Woodring Point neighbors, share fresh mangrove coon oysters, using the dock for their table. Wood was the first J. N. "D'ing" Darling National Wildlife Refuge manager, when it was at first called the Sanibel National Refuge. He lived at the far end of the point, behind them in the distance to the west, in an old Woodring family homestead. | |
