- Reviews a number of monitoring programs sponsored by the South Florida Water Management District aimed at studying pesticide, herbicide, and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) residue in the sediment and/or surface water within the district boundaries. Five programs, undertaken between 1976 and 1983, are examined. Study areas include the Caloosahatchee River, Lake Okeechobee, and North New River. Copious charts, graphs, and maps are included. Brief bibliography. Relevant tables from the Florida administrative code and a brief descriptive paragraph for each of the compounds screened for and listed in the document are appended.
