This report offers a plan for the development and design of a model landscape code for South Florida. The objective is to promote economic and efficient water use, protect and conserve water resources and ecourage the use of drought and flood tolerant plants. The report maintains that rapid development in this area has impacted groundwater recharge and protection. All aspects are covered, from design standards to fees and penalties.
