Laurie Bubbett Posing with Violin

Download File

Summary:
Laurie Bubbett was known as an accomplished violin player. In this photo, his dress indicates that the photo was taken in the north, perhaps in Chicago. He appears younger, with a moustache. The bookcase behind him indicates a northern site as well since so many of the photos at Estero were taken outdoors. However, Laurie was born in 1884 and he appears to be at least 18 years old here. He and his family arrived in Estero in 1894. If it was taken in Chicago, it would have been on a visit.
