Summary:
This report describes an area approximately 8.5 miles long and 6 miles wide, adjacent to the Atlantic Ocean in northeastern Florida. The U.S. Geological Survey in cooperation with the Florida Geological Survey made a reconnaissance to determine if there has been any intrusion of salt water into the fresh-water supply or if there is any danger of future intrusion. This report presents the information collected during October and November 1959, and discusses the results of the reconnaissance.
