| Summary: | In 1978, the Florida Department of Transportation and the U.S. Geological Survey began a cooperative study of the quality of stormwater runoff from a heavily traveled 1.43-acre bridge section of Interstate 95 in Miami. The primary purpose of this investigation was to measure both the concentrations and loads of selected water-quality parameters in runoff from the bridge surface during storms. The scope of the study included intensive measurement and sampling of stormwater runoff during five storms between November 1979 and May 1981. | |
