Date Issued:

Summary:
One of Florida's most valuable resources is its water. It is tied directly to tourism and the socioeconomic structure. There is a fragile relationship between man, his land, and the quality of the water on that land. The desire to settle near the water is stronger than ever. Pollution turns acceptable water bodies into liabilities and, if mismanagement continues, a valuable resources is lost. In this review a real-estate lake is defined as any body of water in the urban environment created or developed for the enhancement of real-estate value.
