Summary:
This data report is a summation of field and laboratory work done from January, 1960 through June, 1964 on various coastal and estuarine environments located along the northern Gulf Coast of Florida and in the Florida Keys (Figure 1). Funds for these studies were provided by the Geography Branch, Office of Naval Research under Contracts Nonr 988 (07) at Florida State University and Nonr 226 (26) at the University of Southern California. The first contract was jointly administered by the writer and Dr. H.G. Goodell of the Department of Geology, Florida State University, and the second was administered solely by the writer at the University of Southern California.
