Pink Shrimp; Geographic range: range extends from lower (Chesapeake Bay to south Florida (including Bermuda) in the Atlantic Ocean, and into the Gulf of exico, terminating south of Cabo Catoche at Isla Mujeres, Mexico (Perez Farfante 1969). It is especially abundant in broad, shallow continental shelf areas, and in shallow bays and estuaries. Maximum densities are found in the eastern and southwestern Gulf of Mexico, along the Florida and Yucatan coasts, respectively (Costello and Allen 1970) (Figure 2).
