The purpose of this General Management Plan/ Final Environmental Impact Statement for Big Cypress National Preserve is to guide visitor use, natural and cultural resource management, and general development within the original boundary of the preserve for the next 10 to 15 issues are presented, along with the potential environmental consequences of implementing those alternatives. (These topics will be addressed for the 146,000 acres added to the preserve in 1988 in a later addendum to the general management plan.)
