Summary:
Florida has been in the commercial production of bulbs for more than two decades. The early bulb growers in Florida had very limited plantings and their income was secured almost entirely from the sale of cut flowers. This publication describes the pruduction of bulbs in Florida including the selection of best varieties, planting, control of diseases and harvesting. Today this industry has expanded rapidly and flowers are produced by greenhouses in the North and generally satisfy the trade better than blooms shipped from Florida.
