This bulletin is designed to give the average layman enough information to enable him to collect and place on the market a good quality of plant material for medicinal uses. Methods of collecting and curing of medicinal plants and the marketing of the products they yield are discussed. The range and habitats of specific plants along with detailed botanical descriptions are aimed at assisting in collection and curing efforts. Cultivation of other plants is also suggested.

Determining this status helps to contribute to the proper management of the Charlotte Harbor estuarine system.
